Trends in Enzyme Catalysis,
TrEnCa is a series of international mini-conferences organized by the BioComp group of Universitat Jaume I (Spain) and chair by Prof. V. Moliner and Dr. K. Świderek, that merge theory and experiments to cover all subspaces of a multidisciplinary field of science known as Biocatalysis. Biocatalysis plays a relevant role today in the design of sustainable processes for the preparation of a multitude of compounds of industrial interest, highlighting sectors such as food, cosmetics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, tanning, etc. The 2 days programs of every edition of TrEnCA is made up of researchers who are specialists in fields ranging from computational methodological developments to applications in the design of drugs or new enzymes with applications in different kind of industries. Special emphasis is placed on achieving a balance between senior researchers and young researchers, as well as on a gender level. The conference is sponsored by Generalitat Valenciana (GVA), Universitat Jaume I, and Benicassim council.
